Carol A. Lee-Collins, MD, a gastroenterology specialist, founded Catalina Gastroenterology in April 2003.
Board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, she is qualified to perform:
- therapeutic ERCP
- upper endoscopy
- colonoscopy
- esophageal, duodenal and colonic dilatation
- PEG tube placement

Dr. Lee-Collins received her medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1985; she completed her internal medicine internship in 1986 and internal medicine residency in 1988 from Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center.
She worked as a Locum Tenens internist with Cigna Health Plans in Los Angeles, Ca., in 1988.
Dr. Lee-Collins completed a gastroenterology fellowship at King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1991.
She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1979 from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and completed post graduate work at Howard University, Washington, D.C. in 1981.
Professional Experience
From 1994 to the beginning of 2003 Dr. Lee-Collins practiced gastroenterology in Columbus, Indiana. From 1991 to 1994 she practiced gastroenterology in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Her interests include photography, sports, history and collecting writing instruments.
Her professional interests include liver disease, GERD and irritable bowel syndrome.
